{changes}

recently switched up my hair routine..if you`d like me to re-do a hair post..let me know in the comments! because the last post was removed after my site crashed..please let me know if you have any questions, etc!

 pureology is the best for colored hair in my honest opinion, but i hated the herbal/earthy smell of the hydrate line i was previously using. i switched to the moroccan oil shampoo/conditioner..but it just wasn`t doing what i needed it to. there was an immediate difference in how fast the color faded. so, when caroline (the genius behind my hair) told me about the new reviving red pureology line made just for red heads..i was excited. it smells AMAZING and the staying power of my red hair has never been better.
i`ve also made the decision to switch from my old favorite rusk hairspray to the medium hold moroccan oil hairspray. i love the hold (my curls last for days) and it smells soo good.
when my hair is super fresh, i still use osis+ dust it powder, but for in between washes, i`ve switched from baby powder to the osis+ refresh dust. it`s pretty much a dry shampoo, but better than any i`ve tried before. it also has less build up for me.

also made some changes to my eye "routine". for a week now, i`ve been using rapidlash lash serum. i wish i had taken a before picture..but i already see a lot of improvement!
i`m finally able to use mascara during the day without feeling completely eyelid bald (totally exaggerating..my natural lashes were normal asian length..but super sparse). i`ve been testing out some drugstore mascaras and the next two are my top picks. my friend sue introduced me to maybelline`s define-a-lash..which i use first to give my lashes some length. next, i use l`oreal`s power volume collagen mascara for volume..which was recommended by steph. so glad i can give my lashes a little break during the day from falsies!
for years i`ve had trouble sleeping..but now that i`m in my mid-twenties..it`s finally catching up. although i don`t have dark circles, benefit`s fake up concealer has really helped hide the bags under my eyes. i have dry skin to begin with, so i was afraid that concealer would be make my eye area even more dry. not with this! the moisturizing ring around the concealer is awesome! but, the biggest difference i can see is using a better eye treatment. the ole henriksen ultimate eye gel has made my life a million times better. i can`t believe it took me so long to find the right product..but so glad i found this because it started working immediately! i also love that it`s cooling so it helps me wake up more refreshed.

the most major change i`ve made is with my contacts. i`ve been a contact lens wearer for years and years now..but in the past year i was going through more than normal. i would get a film on my contacts that almost looked and felt like it was embedded into the lenses. my eyes would burn, get super blurry, and gross but more mucus-y. turns out, my eyeballs have more deposits than normal. it can really hurt your eyes if you don`t take care of it, so i made the switch to daily contacts. i don`t have any problems with it the deposits anymore, and my eyes feel so much better. i wanted to talk about this because after telling a few friends..i found that some of them had the same symptoms! they were hesitant to switch over because it seems more expensive..but really you`re saving money in the long run because you never have to buy a contact case(i lost a million of those) or solution again! not to mention..you`re doing something better for your eyes!

also wanted to include..SO SORRY for not updating! i keep wanting to..but i`ve been going through something personal and haven`t felt motivated. hopefully i won`t be missing for long..i really hate telling you guys i`m back and then disappearing again! and har har har..i am NOT switching over to food blogging despite the plethora of food snaps on my instagram..i`m a lifestyle blogger and well..food is just a huge part of my life right now *oink oink*. so really, sorry for not keeping up and hope to be updating again soon! thank you so much for sticking around and continuing to be the amazing readers you all are (= xx.

PS THE SHOP IS UPDATED!

  1. YAY! You are back! I have to admit, I've never thought of buying daily contact lenses, but I'm going to have to check it out when I go see my eye doctor in May.

  3. my eyes feel so much better! i didn`t realize it would make such a difference..and it also helps remind me to remove my contacts before i go to bed at night..which was ALWAYS a problem for me. if there`s a costco nearby..they are the most cost-effective so far!

  8. That's where I usually get my contact lenses from Costco! I always get them from there, because they are the cheapest.

    Yay!!! I'm so glad you updated and love the mascara! I'm still using the older Pureology formula, I prefer the minty scent of the conditioner to the herbal scent of the shampoo. I hope they release more lines with the newer scent, cause I love nice smelling hair lol.

    Oohh, I'm going to ask my Opt about those contacts. I often get that weird blurry film on my lenses and I thought it was just makeup or something. I wear monthly ones /=

  13. i was using the monthly ones previously..but now that i`ve changed to the daily..i would never go back! i used to get that blurry film too..my doctor said mine was from the deposits..you should definitely get it checked out..it can cause permanent damage!
